WATCH: Warming trend begins Tuesday

1. Gradual warm-up gets underway Tuesday
–Temperatures kick off to a chilly start Tuesday morning with lows around 40° to begin the day. We will be slightly warmer in the afternoon with highs reaching the upper 50s. Wednesday is looking about 10° warmer with highs in the upper 60s. We return to the upper 60s Thursday and then jump to mid-70s Friday. Highs return to around 80° just in time for the upcoming weekend.

2. Low rain chances through most of the week
–Though a washout isn’t expected for most of the workweek, there will be several chances for a little bit of light rain or sprinkles. Tuesday begins with a chance for some light showers or sprinkles through much of the morning. We dry out Tuesday night and the majority of the day Wednesday. More rain moves into the region Wednesday night with showers expected mainly overnight into Thursday early morning. There will also be a low chance for some sprinkles or light rain into Thursday late-afternoon and evening.

3. Best chance for some steady rain comes Friday
–A storm system is expected to work through the area Friday. This brings the best chance for some steadier rain to the area and Friday is looking like our best chance for a washout of a day through the week. The risk for showers ramps up early in the morning. Scattered showers are expected through the morning and afternoon with a chance for a few thunderstorms, too.
