–A warm front will begin lifting through the area Tuesday. After a chilly morning, this will open the doors to a surge of warmer air. The afternoon will be much warmer, though the front also brings the risk for an isolated shower or sprinkle. The front lingers over the region Tuesday night and Wednesday, keeping that chance for a passing shower in the forecast.
2. Big temperature spike Thursday
–We will be in the warm sector of our next storm system Thursday. Expect a surge in warmth with highs rising back to the 70s. Thursday night will stay mild with the risk for rain and storms returning.
3. Rain and storms expected to wrap up the workweek
–Showers and thunderstorms are l;ikely Friday as a storm system works through the region. Temperatures are expected to near 70 for daytime highs but turn colder into the weekend after the cold front clears the area. The risk for scattered showers will continue Saturday.
