33 PINPOINT WEATHER TOP THREE HEADLINES

1. Rain returns tonight, rounds of rain and storms likely Thursday
–Rain chances begin climbing tonight. By as early as sunset Wednesday evening, a few stray showers will be possible. Skies will be cloudy overnight with scattered showers or an isolated thunderstorm. It won’t be as cold with lows in the upper 50s.

Thursday will be a rather soggy day. Scattered showers are expected through the morning commute. We will watch for a break late morning into early afternoon. That will be a window of time where a few peeks of sunshine are possible, helping temperatures rise to around 70°. Any sun will enhance the risk for thunderstorms. Rounds of rain and storms are expected to resume by 2PM and continue through the remainder of the day. Between around 2PM and 7PM, a stray strong storm is possible, capable of producing some hail or gusty wind. The risk is low for our area and greater to the east of the Valley.

Rain will continue overnight into early Friday morning as a cold front crosses through the area. The passage of the front will help pull in some cooler air. Lows by morning Friday fall to around 50°.

2. Friday starts dreary but turns sunny
–While a few showers or sprinkles may linger for the early morning commute Friday, the majority of the day will be dry. The chance for rain ends around sunrise and clouds will begin breaking up. Expect a mix of sunshine and a few scattered clouds for the afternoon with highs reaching the lower 70s.

3. Warming and turning unsettled for Father’s Day weekend
–Saturday will be warmer with highs rising to the upper 70s. The day will start off dry with peeks of sunshine. We will see an increasing risk for a few spotty showers or an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Overall, the day currently looks more dry than wet.
