FORECAST UPDATE: Tracking warmest day so far this year

1. Warm-up continues with low rain chance
–Tuesday’s warm front will begin sagging back into the area Tuesday night, bringing the chance for a stray shower or sprinkle and some clouds. That front will be the focal point for a few stray showers or an isolated thunderstorm Wednesday. Temperatures continue climbing, nearing 70° Wednesday. The temperatures spike even highs Thursday with highs near to only a few degrees shy of 80°! It will be the warmest day so far this year. To date, the warmest we have seen in 2019 was a high of 75° on March 14th.

2. Rain and storms returning Friday
–Our next storm arrives overnight Thursday into Friday. Rain is expected to develop overnight with showers and thunderstorms likely throught the day Friday. The rain may be heavy at times and the day may be a bit of a washout. The rain also cools temperatures into the 60s for daytime highs.

3. Cooler, soggy start to the weekend
–A secondary area of low pressure develops along Friday’s cold front and will hug the area Saturday. This will keep rain showers in the forecast through the day. It is looking like a cloudy, soggy day with cooler temperatures. Highs will drop back to the 50s before warming again Sunday.
