West Middlesex registers impressive win; Hershey Bound for Finals

West Middlesex girls basketball teams advances to the State Final following their 51-33 victory over Everett this evening. The game was tied at the half, 24-24. Middlesex went on a 27-9 run to close out the contest in the second half. MaKennah White scored a game-high 20 points, 18 of which came in the final three quarters. Karsyn Rupert added 15 of her own for West Middlesex.

Next up for the Ms. Reds (26-3) will be the PIAA Class Double A Championship on Thursday at noon from the Giant Center in Hershey. Bellwood-Antis, who defeated Mahanoy (66-58), awaits.

The Everett Lady Warriors finished the year at 24-4. Junior Kaitlyn Maxwell had scored 20-plus points in 17 of her previous 19 games. However, tonight, Maxwell was held to 16 – all came in the first half.
