YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Not everyone who wanted to watch Wednesday’s festivities in Cleveland was able to get to the city.

The “plan B” for some was to visit local sports bars, such as Buffalo Wild Wings in Boardman or V2 in Youngstown.

Officials estimated that over a million cheering fans lined the parade route through downtown Cleveland. A few local fans were dressed in full Cavs gear, watching during the lunch hour Wednesday afternoon.

“We were planning on going but by the time we had our sitter to the house, Cleveland was all blocked off. So we decided to come here so we could support the Cavs,” said Kristin Long, of Austintown.Photos: Cleveland Cavaliers parade

“It’s awesome, no one expected it. It’s been years in the waiting, so it’s been a lifetime dream and I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life,” said Troy Folsom, also of Austintown.

Some patrons said they had relatives who did go to the parade and rally, but left home at 3 or 4 a.m. to avoid the rush and find a spot where they could see.
