Binghamton Mets (NYM)

Manager: Pedro Lopez

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Dario Alvarez, LHP; Gabriel Ynoa, RHP

…On April 7, an announcement was made that Binghamton and the Mets have extended their affiliation through the 2020 season. Lopez is beginning his fourth season as the Mets’ manager. Since failing to post a winning record in four straight years (2009-2012), Binghamton has finished the last two seasons with 169 victories (2013: 86; 2014: 83). Last summer, the Mets defeated Richmond in the league championship (3 games to 0) to win their first title since 1994.

New Britain Rock Cats (COL)

Manager: Darin Everson

…Darin Everson is the first-year Rock Cats’ skipper after serving two years as the Tulsa Drillers’ hitting coach. Everson takes over for Jeff Smith, who held the position fort five years. The Rock Cats will attempt to return to the post-season for the first time since 2009.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats (TOR)

Manager: Bobby Meacham

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Matt West, RHP

…The Fisher Cats have won the league title twice in the past 11 years (2011, 2004). However, New Hampshire has failed to post a winning record in each of the past three campaigns. Meacham is back for his second season after registering a 66-76 mark last year.

Portland Sea Dogs (BOS)

Manager: Billy McMillon

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: TBD

…Billy McMillon’s club notched their best record yet (88-54) last year as they topped the Eastern Division for the first time since 2005. However, a first round elimination by Binghamton was the result of their remarkable season. The SeaDogs will try and duplicate their success this season in hopes of bringing a championship back to Portland for the first time since 2006.

Reading Fightin Phils (PHI)

Manager: Dusty Wathan

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Elvis Araujo, LHP; Jesse Biddle, LHP; Nefi Ogando, RHP; Aaron Altherr, CF

…Last year, the Phils finished with a sub-500 record for the third consecutive season (66-76). In Wathan’s first season (2012), the team posted a 76-66 record and played into the league’s semifinal round (where they were knocked off by Trenton). The Fightin Phils’ hittng coach is former Philadelphia second baseman Mickey Morandini.

Trenton Thunder (NYY)

Manager: Al Pedrique

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Gary Sanchez, C; Mason Williams, CF

…Al Pedrique replaces long-time manager Tony Franklin as the team’s skipper. In each of the last two seasons, the Thunder has watched their win total go from 79 (in 2012) to 74 (in 2013) to 67 (in 2014). Trenton has been to the championship series in five of the previous seven years prior to 2014.Western Division

Akron RubberDucks (CLE)

Manager: Dave Wallace

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Cody Anderson, RHP; Ryan Merritt, LHP; Tony Wolters, C; Erik Gonzalez, SS

…Akron has posted a winning record in 10 of the last 13 seasons. Wallace, in his second season, will try and get the Ducks back to the playoffs for the first time in three years (2012).

Altoona Curve (PIT)

Manager: Tom Prince

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Willy Garcia, RF

…Former catcher Tom Prince takes over the role as manager after Carlos Garcia held the position for the previous two seasons (124-160). The last time the Curve advanced to the playoffs was in 2010 when Altoona reigned supreme over Trenton in the championship series.

Bowie Baysox (BAL)

Manager: Gary Kendall

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Tim Berry, LHP; Dylan Bundy, RHP

…In his fifth season, Kendall has not had a losing record since he took over the Baysox in 2011. Actually, Bowie has not finished lower than 3rd place in the division since 2007. Since the Baysox were founded in 1993, they have yet to win a post-season series (0-5).

Erie SeaWolves (DET)

Manager: Lance Parrish

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Wynton Bernard, CF

…Lance Parrish returns after a 71-71 finish in his first campaign at the helm of the SeaWolves. Like Bowie, Erie has yet to win a playoff series in their team history which dates back to 1989.

Harrisburg Senators (WSH)

Manager: Brian Daubach

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: TBD

…Harrisburg finished 2014 with a 53-89 mark which was a drop off of 24 wins from the previous season (77-65). Daubach, returns for his second year as the Senators’ skipper.

Richmond Flying Squirrels (SF)

Manager: Jose Alguacil

Players on Active-40 Man Roster: Joan Gregorio, RHP; Daniel Carbonell, CF

…For the third time in the last six years, the franchise (Richmond/Connecticut) has played and lost in the championship series. Jose Alguacil became the Squirrels fourth manager since the team relocated to Virginia from Norwich in 2010.
