(WYTV) — Power was not affected here at the station, but there were plenty of outages reported around the Valley.
In Trumbull County, there were over 3,000 customers with no power, however that has been drastically reduced to under 100.
“I wasn’t sleeping as well as I should. I kept hearing something so I said I have to go get up and see what’s going on,” said Jim Michalec of Vienna Township.
Michalec woke up to the sound of chainsaws in his front yard. A neighbor’s tree fell over the road and onto his lawn overnight.
Since it’s on private property, Michalec is now left with the mess.
“I can cut a lot of it up for firewood. It’ll be on me and an old tractor and a wagon and a chainsaw. I’ll get it, a little bit at a time,” Michalec said.
Luckily, Michalec wasn’t one of the many around him to wake up without power.
In Mahoning County, power has been restored to the majority of customers.
Columbiana County had no major power outages as of 6:30 a.m.
In Pennsylvania, Mercer County had about 2,000 customers without power earlier this morning, but that number is now at 291 as of 6:20 p.m.
The times all are varying by location on when power will be restored.
