YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A couple accused of torching the historical Firestone mansion in Beaver Township is free on bond after being indicted last week.

Alexis Little, 20, of Youngstown, and Brian McKinney, 20, of Boardman, each were arraigned Tuesday morning in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on one count of arson. Their trial is set for early March, according to court records.

Prosecutors said the couple had been using the old Firestone home on Lipply Road near Pine Lake to do drugs when they decided to set fire to it Oct. 21. Investigators said the pair got caught after bragging about what they had done in front of co-workers.

The state fire marshal ruled it an arson on Nov. 3. Tom Ellison bought and then moved the 134-year-old home to its location on Lipply Road in Beaver Township in the fall of 2011. The house was originally built in 1880 by Henry Firestone.
