YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Students interested in sports media will have the option to study the business when Youngstown State University starts up again in the fall.
The specialized course study will be called a “sports information and media” track. It’ll be in the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
It’s for students interested in media relations, publicity and sports writing.
“The long-term plan is to build a world-class sports communication department,” said YSU Communication Department Chair Adam Earnheardt.
Four years ago, a sports broadcasting track was started.
