YPD: Youngstown man charged in south side kidnapping

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown man was in jail Wednesday after police say he held a woman against her will.

The Youngstown Police Department says they got a call from a women saying 28-year-old Kevin Faucette wouldn’t let her daughter leave and that he had a gun. When officers went to talk to Faucette he ran from them.

Police say during the chase, he may have tried to ditch evidence. He was caught and arrested at a nearby Falls Avenue home.

Faucette is being charged with kidnapping, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.
