YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Youngstown city officials have declared a snow emergency that will start noon on Saturday, Feb. 21, according to a press release.
During the emergency, which will last until further notice according to the release, parking is prohibited on all streets except those less than 25 feet wide with no driveway facilities. Cars parked on the street in violation of the order will be towed at the owner’s expense.
A snow emergency is declared when there is an accumulation of 4 inches or more of snow to allow the safe passage of emergency vehicles through the city.
This is the city’s second snow emergency of 2015. The first started on Monday, Feb. 2.
The City of Salem has issued a parking ban starting at midnight Saturday, February 21st through noon on Sunday, February 22nd.
