Youngstown Pizza Joe's broken into, blood trail left behind

The incident happened around 8:15 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) - Youngstown police say the Pizza Joe's on Canfield Road was broken into Sunday morning. 

Police were called when the alarm went off in the restaurant, and they saw a trail of blood leading from a broken front window.

According to police, the intruder threw a tire jack through the window to get inside. Police also believe that the intruder was injured while attempting to break in.

The cash register drawer was pulled out, but it had already been empty, police say. A safe in the back of the restaurant was missing.

The incident happened around 8:15 a.m.

Youngstown police are analyzing surveillance footage and do not yet have any suspects in the case.
