YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Drivers who have a suspended license learned Saturday morning how they could get it back.

The Youngstown Municipal Court and Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles held a Suspended License Intervention Workshop at the OCCHA building on Shirley Road in Youngstown.

Suspended drivers were able to speak with attorneys to see what they would need to do to regain their driving privileges.

We spoke with probation officer Tabitha Gatrell, who broke down the process.

“Basically, we run their BMV record, which gives us a list of things that they have going on. Attorneys will sit them down and give them the next steps on what they need to do,” she said.

Gatrell said they try to fit in about 50 people for each workshop.

Several agencies were also at Saturday’s workshop to provide help with various social services including child support assistance and employment help.

The next workshop will take place on October 7 from 9 a.m. until noon at Christ Memorial Church on Youngstown’s East Side.
