Warming centers opening for people without power

Thousands without power will be getting some relief soon. Warming centers will be open for those who don’t have heat.

Columbiana County

  • Columbiana Dairy Queen (44844 State Route 14)
  • Opening at 2 p.m. on Friday:
    • Highlandtown Fire Department (18371 Steubenville Pike Rd., Salineville, 330-532-9673)
  • Opening from 3 to 10 p.m. on Friday:
    • Leetonia Schools (450 Walnut St.)
    • West Point Fire Department (42572 State Route 518, 330-424-5606)
    • West Point Fire Department (17445 State Route 45, 330-424-5606)
  • Opening at 5 p.m. on Friday:
    • East Palestine Fire Station (67 E. Clark St., 330-426-7064)
    • Negley Fire Station (50683 Richardson Ave., 330-426-9900)
    • New Waterford Fire Station (3766 E. Main St., 330-457-2363)
    • New Waterford Community Center (3760 Village Park Dr., 330-457-2363)
  • Opening at 6 p.m. on Friday:
    • Overnight accommodations: Red Cross emergency shelter in Columbiana (Upper Room Fellowship, 500 Sponseller Rd.)

Lawrence County

  • Contact Lawrence County 911 or the Pennsylvania State Police Station in New Castle at 724-598-2211 if you need help

Mahoning County

  • Austintown Dairy Queen (146 N. Canfield Niles Rd.)
  • Springfield High School (open until 10:30 p.m. on Friday)
  • Overnight accommodations: Springfield Township Fire Station 21 (3989 E. Middletown Rd., 330-720-9123)

Mercer County

  • Contact Mercer County 911 or the Pennsylvania State Police Station in Mercer at 724-662-6162 if you need help

Trumbull County

  • Liberty Township Administration Building (on Churchill Hubbard Road from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday)

There is limited space.
