“Ending Multiple Sclerosis forever” is one of the goals for this year’s Walk MS.

Held at the Canfield Fairgrounds, this year’s walk happens on Saturday, April 27.

More than two million people across the world are affected by MS.

Samantha Villella’s mom and sister both have the disease. She has been taking part in the walk for the past 10 years and says that’s why events like this are so important.

“It’s about education and awareness, a little bit about the disease, what people who live with multiple sclerosis, what their days look like, what they go through,” she said. “Then, the money goes to the general fund through the society, which supports some administrative costs, but we also use that for programs and services that support this area as well as research, which is very important.”

There is no fee to sign up for the walk, and people can raise as much or as little as they want.

The walk begins at 9 a.m., with registration beginning at 8 a.m. You can register on-site on the day of the event, or join the team of KV’s Krew in advance.

To join the KV’s Krew, click this link to join the team or donate. You will be prompted to register online.

One-mile and three-mile routes are available.

You can also donate by a check made payable to the National MS Society, mailed to KV’s Krew, Inc. at P.O. Box 113, Canfield, OH 44406.
