WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – The heavy rain on Sunday pushed a community concert at the Warren Community Amphitheatre to a spot indoors, at the Greater Apostolic Faith Church.
The summer concert was put on by the Warren Citywide Youth Choir, this was their 6th year putting on the show.
This year, the choir had about 75 singers who joined other gospel choirs for the night of worship.
The kids have a passion for singing, and their director, Pastor Todd Johnson, said it shows what the youth of Warren can offer.
“They want to show their talents and their skills, and share their faith in Jesus Christ. And so, to have such a big group like this doing what they’re doing is just awesome, and the opportunities that have been opened up for them are incredible,” Johnson said.
Every year the choir raises money to give out scholarships to its own members so they can continue their education beyond high school.
