The Valley has been preparing for the snowstorm all week by getting salt trucks ready to hit the roads and plow the snow.
Crews came to the Canfield Maintenance Garage on Saturday to fill up on more salt.
Rex Underwood, superintendent for the Eastern Ohio Turnpike, said they have enough salt to last until the end of January.
He said every worker is doing a double shift to battle the storm.
“The guys will all be working 12-hour shifts from midnight to noon and noon to midnight until this storm lets up, and we can maintain the road as we normally would on any other given day,” Underwood said.
Underwood said if you decide to go out, make sure to drive slowly.
