Two cars crashed head-on, according to first responders

MERCER CO., Pa. (WKBN) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Mercer County Tuesday morning.

It happened around 7:45 a.m. along George Junior Road, between McCrae Drive and Hawthorne Lane in Pine Township.

Pennsylvania State Police said an SUV was traveling northbound on George Junior Road and another SUV was traveling southbound.

State police say the first SUV crossed into the southbound lane and hit the second SUV head-on.

Both drivers were taken to Grove City Medical Center for unknown injuries.

The driver heading northbound wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, while the driver heading southbound was wearing one.

Ball Park Road was closed near George Junior Road, close to Grove City ball park. That road has since reopened.
