YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber showed off its plans to display life-sized bobbleheads of the likely 2016 presidential nominees.

The bobbleheads were designed by Freshmade 3D Printing of Youngstown and built with the assistance of Humtown Products of Columbiana and Youngstown State University. They’re meant to represent the major industry drivers of the Mahoning Valley — metals, aluminum and 3D printing.

The Chamber says it is using the bobblehead project to promote the Valley as the capital of 3D printing.

The Donald Trump bobblehead will be displayed at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. The Trump and Hillary Clinton bobbleheads will both be on display at the first presidential debate in Dayton.

The bobbleheads are being built as part of the Chamber’s Victory for the Valley campaign, to showcase the area to site selectors, national political dignitaries and journalists from around the world. The project was inspired by a displayed created for the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. in which the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Myrtle Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau commissioned a 25-foot sand sculpture of President Barack Obama.

The Victory for the Valley campaign is funded by Home Savings & Loan, the Cafaro Co. and more than 25 corporate sponsors.
