Pulaski Twp. PD: Woman threw elderly man to ground for lotto ticket

PULASKI TWP., Pa. (WYTV) – A 23-year-old woman was arrested after police said she threw an elderly man to the ground and stole his winning scratch-off lottery ticket, worth $30.

The Pulaski Township Police Department posted on its Facebook page that Adriana Pitzer was charged with robbery, assault and theft.

Police said Pitzer was at the Ambrosia Landscaping supply and lottery store Tuesday morning and was witnessed by a Family Dollar employee across the street throwing an 85-year-old man to the ground. She then stole his $30 winning lottery ticket and $10 in cash, according to police.

Police said the Family Dollar employee chased Pitzer to the King’s Motel but lost her soon after.

Coitsville Police were called to the scene to help locate Pitzer, and she was eventually arrested.

Pitzer’s mother, Lorri Pitzer, was charged with criminal trespass. Police said she was staying at the hotel with her daughter.

Police said Adriana Pitzer also attempted to run from officers during her booking at the New Castle Police Department, but she was captured on the sidewalk outside of the police station.

She was additionally charged with escape as a result, police said it was discovered that she had two warrants out for her arrest.

Police said the victim has a cut on his elbow but is otherwise OK.
