STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – A popular eatery is about to re-open its dining room after months of trouble attracting enough staff.

Management with The Elmton posted a message on social media indicating it will be opening up its dining area next Tuesday.

The popular restaurant suffered through COVID and then had trouble attracting and keeping enough employees to operate both the kitchen and dining areas.

“I’ve got a bunch of new people that weren’t here before the pandemic,” owner Jack Walters said. “It’s an all-new learning experience because we do a lot of carry-out and a combination of dining in, and I’m not going to have a full staff yet.”

Walters hopes to hire more employees to open up more areas.

Dine-in will be limited to the bar section, and carry-out service will also continue. Hours will run 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays starting Jan. 24.
