Warren Boost Mobile robber

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Boost Mobile store on Market Street in Warren.

A man pulled out a gun and demanded money. He also took phones and other items, according to police.

Warren police say the clerks were taken by surprise but were not hurt.

“The door was locked. They weren’t even open yet,” said Detective John Greaver. “The girls let him in, and he pulled a gun on them and just robbed them.”

The robber may have thought it was an easy score, except for one thing.

“He didn’t plan this very well,” Detective Greaver said.

Store security cameras caught the entire crime on video. He tried to disguise himself, but the clerks got a good look.

“He had a beard. He had had on sunglasses. He had on gloves. He was covering up his mouth,” a 911 caller said.

Then he left with the stolen items, and another witness saw him taking off his clothes.

That clothing was found and was taken into evidence.

Police are now asking for help identifying and finding the suspect. They say he walks with a noticeable limp.
