YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) —- Officers responding to a shooting Thursday on Youngstown’s west side were told a 70-year-old woman shot her disabled daughter then turned the gun on herself.
Police radio call logs show that the two were discovered about 11 a.m. by a relative at a home on South Schenley Avenue.
Police have not released much information on the shootings and said they will defer to the Mahoning County Coroners Office to release their names.
Lt. Brian Welsh of the Detective Bureau said investigators are still trying to piece together what might have happened.
“It’s a sad situation,” Welsh said.
