OVI checkpoint planned in Mahoning County for Saturday night

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol partnered with the Boardman Township Police Department to announce an OVI checkpoint in Mahoning County for Saturday night.

The OVI checkpoint will be held from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on State Route 7 in Mahoning County.

Saturation patrols will also be held nearby to combat injury related to impaired driving and fatal crashes.

The checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
