COLUMBUS, Ohio (WYTV) – A ruling by the Occupational Safety and health Administration confirms that a Trumbull County employee was treated fairly when he was suspended from the Trumbull County Engineer’s Office.

Anthony Johnson was suspended for 30 days for causing a diesel fuel spill. A video tape shows Johnson was nowhere near a diesel pump he was using to fill up a tank on the equipment his truck was carrying. The fuel overflowed onto the pavement. The video shows Johnson placing several spill mats down and driving away.

Johnson said the suspension over the diesel fuel spill was in retaliation for a separate and unrelated video he sent to the EPA showing what he thought was illegal dumping procedures conducted by the engineer’s office.

The EPA said the video did not prove any illegal actions.
