GOSHEN TWP., Ohio (WYTV) – A 9-year-old boy was killed after an ATV crash in Goshen Township on Wednesday.
It happened on Middletown Road around 7 p.m.
According to Goshen police, the victim is Brock Mason.
Police say the boy’s father was driving an ATV and entering a detached garage when Brock moved into the path of the ATV. He was hit and pronounced dead at Salem Hospital.
The father voluntarily gave a urine sample, and no charges were filed at the time of the crash.
An accident reconstruction team from Highway Patrol was on the scene Wednesday night and will turn over all evidence to the prosecutor.
Brock was a student of Damascus Elementary School. Counselors will be available Friday in the school library, according to the school district.
