YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Mill Creek Metroparks is all set up for the holidays, and this year, there’s a new twist on one of the park’s holiday traditions, that’s catching everyone’s attention.
The year 2015 marks the 15th anniversary of the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center, and inside, you’ll find a bevy of specially decorated Christmas trees.
The tree-decorating tradition started out as a fun event for members of Mill Creek Park’s staff and later expanded to non-profits in the Mahoning Valley. This year, about 45 different organizations have decorated a tree inside the center.
The center is open from Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every Saturday and Sunday in December, as well as the first weekend in January, until 8 p.m.
