Man taken to hospital after crash in Applebee’s parking lot

HERMITAGE, Pa. (WYTV) – Hermitage Police were sent to the Applebee’s parking lot on Friday morning for a car that struck a light pole.

Police said the car had been traveling through the parking lot when it struck the pole at 6:37 a.m. The driver, identified as 53-year-old David Short, was partially ejected through the windshield. Short was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for head injuries.

Police said Short told officers that he was wearing a seat belt.

Police are investigating the crash.
