It took a jury a little over four hours to reach a verdict in a Youngstown murder case from two years ago.
Kimani Hodges was found guilty of aggravated homicide in the death of Jason Fonseca in 2016.
Police found the victim outside of his Ayers Street home on the city’s east side.
Prosecutors said the two were arguing about a woman.
This is actually the second trial in the case. A mistrial was declared in January after a witness refused to answer questions on the stand.
“We were really pushing to get this back into trial and get him convicted because we knew he did it all along,” said Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor Dawn Cantalamessa.
A sentencing date hasn’t been set.
Hodges could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
