NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WYTV) – A teen boy is dead after a shooting in New Castle on Friday, police said.

It happened in the parking lot of Scustie’s Pizza on Highland Avenue.

Officers said they found a teen lying in the parking lot. The victim, identified as 17-year-old Darren Jevcak from Lawrence County, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the suspect, 41-year old Michael Dbiagio, was arrested and admitted to shooting the victim.

Dbiagio is charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
