WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Warren man was booked into the Trumbull County Jail Tuesday after recovering from an incident where police say he stabbed another man and beat a woman.
According to a police report, Stephen Rowe, 28, was arguing with a woman Dec. 1 inside a home on Kenwood Drive and hit her several times. The woman called her friend, Julius Jordan, 45, of Youngstown, to come over and help her.
Jordan came to the house and confronted Rowe. An argument ensued and Jordan was stabbed in his arm and leg. He and the woman were able to run from the house and get into Jordan’s vehicle, but Rowe chased them and jumped on the hood of the car, the report stated.
As Jordan backed out of the driveway, Rowe held onto the hood and traveled on the car that way until he fell off near Kenwood Drive and Michelle Avenue.
Police later apprehended Rowe at the Kenwood Drive home. He was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center for treatment. He was taken into police custody Dec. 8 at St. Elizabeth Youngstown.
Rowe was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence. He is also being held on outstanding warrants from Boardman, Pennsylvania and Trumbull County.
Police found a knife and puddle of blood near the area where Rowe fell off the car.
Jordan was treated for his injuries at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Rowe is due back court Dec. 17.
