WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a man wanted in connection to a felonious assault that reportedly sent a Girard man to the hospital with a brain injury.

The suspect, 26-year-old Kevin Streeter, was picked up walking in Dave Grohl Alley at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was charged with felonious assault.

Police said Streeter assaulted a man near the Christy House on Main Avenue SW.

The alleged victim told police that he was walking under the bridge around 6 p.m. on October 18 when he was approached by an unidentified suspect, who police said was Streeter. The man did not remember what happened, but reported that he woke up laying on the ground bleeding from the head and noticed that his money, phone and prescription pills were taken. He told police that he believed the suspect had struck him in the head with a blunt object, according to a Warren City Police report.

The alleged victim said he was taken to the hospital and later flown to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for brain bleeding after the assault.

Streeter is being held in Trumbull County Jail, pending a court appearance.
