CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – Two sobriety checkpoints will be held in Mahoning County on Friday and Saturday to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
Officers will be conducting a roadside check of drivers in two separate locations for alcohol and drug impairment. Specific details of the checkpoints will be announced at a later time, according to the Task Force.
Saturation patrols will also be conducted throughout the weekend.
The Mahoning County OVI Task Force says those who will be drinking alcohol must make good decisions and choose not to drive.
Support in operating the checkpoint and saturation patrols will be provided by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency.
