LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WYTV) – The Lowellville Police Department gained two new officers and a new police chief on Monday night.
Heather Tsarnas and Eric Buday were sworn in on Monday, as well as Police Chief Richard Jamrozik.
Jamrozik was an investigator for the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office for 16 years. He said his experience in the coroner’s office will give him a different perspective in his new role.
“You’ve seen so much death and tragedy, maybe just being in the position where I’ve seen so much, you have a different outlook on what somebody has done,” he said.
Jambrozik was the interim police chief for three months before being promoted.
