Families spent the weekend enjoying some fall favorites in Lordstown for the 28th annual Apple Cider Festival.

There was a car show, a 5K race and a variety of apples for guests to try.

All proceeds will be given to the Lordstown Athletic Department.

“Everything we make, on any event, anything we make goes right back out to whatever charity that is needed. The Juvenile Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society,” said Bill Krempasky from the Lion’s Club.

Farmers said this was a great crop season for apples and you can taste it in the cider.

Everything left from the apples at the event was used for compost.
