POLAND VILLAGE, Ohio (WKBN) — Police Village police are looking into who vandalized a recreation area this weekend.

Authorities discovered someone had spray-painted graffiti in parts of Poland Forest between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Graffiti was found not only on the restrooms — which officials say were two days old — but also on trees, the new footbridge and other areas. Some of the graffiti featured profanity.

“They supposedly have found one of the people [that] confessed,” said Mayor Tim Sicafuse. “A thirteen-year-old minor came forward and said that they had done it. … I guess there are other people involved, too.”

As of now, no one has been charged while officials decide how to best remove — or paint over — the graffiti.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Poland Village Police Department.
