LIBERTY, Ohio (WYTV) – The Liberty Police Department is advising people to lock their car doors after thefts from unlocked vehicles over the past two weeks.

Police believe kids are responsible for the thefts, which have occurred on Ravine Drive, Fifth Avenue, Mansell Drive, Colonial Drive and Fairway Drive.

The department, which issued an alert on Thursday, said it’s important to remove any valuables from cars.

Police are asking people who see juveniles on bikes or walking after the 11 p.m. curfew to contact the police department at 330-759-1511 or 330-675-2730.
