NILES, Ohio (WYTV) – Investigators raided a house in Niles Thursday morning.
The TAG Drug Task Force, Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office and Niles Police Department executed a search warrant at a house near the corner of Robbins and Washington avenues.
Investigators say illegal narcotics, including fentanyl, had been sold from the house.
They said they found suspected fentanyl and suspected crack cocaine in the house, as well as scales and suspected counterfeit Xanax pills. The pills were found in packaging material that was labeled in a foreign language.
“We received information that there were narcotics being sold out of the house on Robbins Avenue, which lead to an investigation,” said Capt. Tony Villanueava.
TAG also took cash and cell phones.
There were three adults and two children present during the execution of the search warrant. The home is across the street from a daycare.
For safety, Niles police and the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office blocked Robbins Avenue for a short time during the search warrant due to the high volume of traffic in the area.
Evidence will be sent to be tested at BCI&I.
No arrest was made. Charges are pending after the analysis of the evidence collected.
