HUBBARD, Ohio (WYTV) –  The city of Hubbard is flushing water lines with a new process called ‘ice pigging.’

Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, June 27, crews will pump a chemical-free ice slurry into the water lines to clean the pipes.

The areas impacted are Glenwood, Belle Vista and Clingan (from Hager east to South Main).

Water customers are asked not to use the water during the time the water is being flushed. The water department will notify customers when the process is complete.

Cold water should be run to clear the lines of discoloration following the process.

Customers with questions or concerns can call the Hubbard service department at (330) 534-7755 or (330) 534-3090.
