Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course is working with Second Harvest Food Bank to collect food donations from the community.

The giveaway collected more than 3,000 pounds of food in the first two days. Allie Evangelista, general manager of Hollywood Gaming, said they have been blown away by community response.

“This is a testament to the generosity of our guests and team members,” she said in a press release.

The last donation day will be held on Tuesday. Non-perishables will be collected in the food court from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

According to the press release, Second Harvest distributed more than 10 million pounds of food in the tri-county area last year.
