GM retiree says younger workers will miss out

Local News

The General Motors announcement to end production on the Chevy Cruze in Lordstown is impacting more than the workers there. The news branches out to those who used to work there as well.

A Lordstown plant retiree says it’s a shame for young people losing out on a good opportunity.

“Sad for the younger people who were just hired, you know, and they may be losing an opportunity, and not only that, but the union and General Motors did so much for our communities,” Charles Rhodes said.

Rhodes worked there for over 20 years. Him and his wife say they hope something works out for those plant employees.
