Firefighter injured in Youngstown house fire

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- A Youngstown firefighter became injured while battling a fire Wednesday morning.

Youngstown Fire Department was called after flames broke out just before 2:30 a.m. on McClure Avenue.

YFD confirmed that the firefighter has minor burns to his leg and that he was taken to the Akron Burn Unit. .

YFD also said that the house is badly damaged.

The fire department confirmed that the house was occupied.
