Family escapes fire in Warren Twp.

A few pets didn't make it out

WARREN TWP., Ohio (WYTV) – A family escaped a fire in Warren Township on Thursday morning.

It happened at 6475 Woodview Circle, causing damage to the back of the house.

Fire officials said a family of four was inside. They made it out OK, but a few pets died in the fire.

Fire Chief Randy Daniels explained the differences that they’re seeing now under the state’s stay-at-home order.

“With the orders from the governor, more people are home during the days, which is a good thing ’cause it allows us to get the fire caught sooner. On the flip side, it puts more people in the house when a call comes in,” he said.

A fire investigator is working to find out what started the fire.
