Eat N’ Park donates to Akron Children’s

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Akron Children’s Hospital received a big check Tuesday morning from an eatery.

More than $12,000 was given to the hospital by Eat’N Park’s annual Caring for Kids campaign. The five-week fundraising effort was held during the holiday season at the chain’s locations in Austintown, Boardman and Warren.

Eat’ N Park employees and patrons said they are happy to support such a good cause.

“It is so exciting and so humbling. We are really proud that all of the dollars that we raise locally stays local so every dollar that was donated in the Mahoning Valley stays right here to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital in the Mahoning Valley,” said Trina DeMarco, director of corporate giving for Eat N’ Park.

In the past five years, more than $78,000 has been raised from the Caring for Kids Campaign.

“One of our key promises is that every child that walks through our doors receives the very best in pediatric health care in a family-centered environment and donations like this help us to be able to keep that promise to the children in our community,” said JoAnn Stock, development director for Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
