Drug raid in Slippery Rock Twp. nets drugs and guns

A drug raid at a Slippery Rock Township house netted drugs and guns. 

Agents with the District Attorney’s Office along with officers from New Castle and Union Township raided a house Monday in the 1200 block of Copper Road. 

Officers seized 13 ounces of suspected crystal meth and 2 ounces of suspected heroin with a street value of about $24,000. 

Four handguns, two rifles and a shotgun were also taken from the home. 

Police say the suspected owner of the drugs has been incarcerated in the Lawrence County jail and is facing numerous drug-related charges. 

Police did not name the suspect.
