Coroner identifies man shot, killed on Youngstown’s south side

The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office identified a man shot and killed in Youngstown over the weekend as 22-year-old Sherman Moody.

The office will conduct an autopsy soon.

The shooting happened near the intersection of Glenwood and Parkview avenues around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said when they arrived, they found a man shot on the sidewalk.

Moody was taken to St. Elizabeth’s but investigators said he did not survive his injuries.

Investigators said no arrests have been made yet.

Police continue to interview witnesses and ask anyone who may have information to call them at 330-742-8900.
