The coroner was called out to the scene around 6:15 p.m.

One car had heavy front-end damage and the other had heavy damage on the passenger’s side.

Spradlin was a senior at Greenville High School.

We are very sad to hear of the sudden loss of a member of the Greenville High School Senior Class who passed away last evening as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. We extend our most sincere sympathy and condolences to the student’s family and friends.

Any time we lose a student it is a tragedy but this loss is even more impactful, given the holiday season. The District aims to support our students and will have counselors available at school for any student that would benefit from their assistance.

Please join us in keeping our student’s family and friends as well as the other individuals involved in the accident in your thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time,” said Superintendent Brian Tokar.
