CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – Two Canfield city employees were hit by a car while working on a waterline break on Fairground Boulevard.
Canfield’s police chief said the workers were injured Wednesday afternoon when a car slid on some ice and hit them. The car then crashed into a backhoe at the work site.
The workers were rushed to the hospital.
A 33 WYTV viewer sent in a photo showing the damaged front end of the vehicle against the backhoe.
Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The names of the employees haven’t been released yet.
