CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) – Campbell has gotten the money it needs to restart the senior citizens mini bus.
Cocca Development presented the city with a $20,000 check Monday, which will provide the funding to re-establish the busing program.
The mini bus takes seniors on trips to the grocery store and to doctor’s appointments. Funding was cut for the bus three years ago.
“I thought it was real important that our family made a contribution and get the service working again for the senior citizens,” said Anthony Cocca, CEO of Cocca Development.
Cocca Development is behind the new Dollar Tree on Route 422, which should be finished this month and will open in December.
Campbell already has the bus for the program and is working to set a schedule so the program can re-start. It already has a volunteer driver.
